Nashbait Classic 50/50 type boilie base mix has been used for more than 25 years.

It is a mix of cooked cereal, medium and high digest protein.
Nashbait  use so much mix they have it blended by a specialist company who add a vitamin/mineral blend to the base mix.

Although several of the Classic boilies have extra base mix ingredients the Classic Boilie mix used as the major part of the base mix is still the best there is for making carp food with the addition of egg, flavours and boiling.

The carp’s food requirements have not altered since the time carp fishing first started. It is just the methods, attractors and the fish stock levels that are often different, not the food requirement.

The Classic boilie base mix is a good winter food for all sizes of carp and in the UK there is a lot of big fish caught on it.

Because of the quality of the base mix Classic boilies work as a food bait and will compete with much more expensive boilies.

Nashbait Classic flavours are the best fishing attractors that can be produced; there are no restrictions at all because most are made in their own lab. Over the years many commercial food industry flavours have been discontinued due to flavour companies streamlining their product range to be more efficient and competitive. Other companies are bought out by big flavour companies who use different key ingredients so the blends change and there has been many changes in restricted usage of some flavour chemicals and the licensing of their uses. The end result is many of the best fishing flavours of the past are no longer avaliable or are totally different to the originals. In most cases the changes are not made for the fishing industry so the new versions of the old flavours are not as effective as they could be for fishing. At Nashbait they make most of their own flavours and additives, often using products that are too time consuming for the big flavour companies to process, solids that have to be dissolved into warm liquids, products that are only water or oil soluble, substances that have special storage requirements that have to be processed on a little and often system and blends that can take up to 5 days to manufacture. This and their understanding that the attractors must be boilie production friendly and the water solubility has to be more important than the air solubility (because the carp live in water) is why their attractors are superior to most.

Strawberry
Base mix; 50/50 type with added bird food for the fat content.
Flavours; Strawberry oil palatant, Strawberry flavour, Intense sweetener.
Comments. Very popular in the UK. Good in the summer and winter. The bailiff on Gary’s lake has caught in the winter on big fish and easy waters with a lot of pre-baiting but using single hook baits on fishing days.

Scopex.
Base mix; 50/50 type
Flavours; Scopex and intense sweetener.
Comments; In Europe the colour is yellow, in the UK it is Orange. Colour matters to the angler but will make a difference to the fish also. The flavour is strong with this bait which works on a lot of waters. On some waters, good, thinking anglers have caught on pre-soaked (24 hours) Scopex boilies, catching more fish than other anglers on the most modern baits. It is a good all season mix. Also it's a good bait to use over the top of a bed of other bait, feeding just a few (6) Scopex free orderings per 100 of an anglers main bait and using a Scopex Classic hookbait, a big fish method using a good big fish flavour.

White Chocolate
Base mix; 50/50 type with added bird food for the fat content.
Flavours; White chocolate oil, chocolate malt, chocolate flavour and Intense sweetener.
Comments; The 3 different Chocolates are all on different bases so make the recipe very unique to Nashbait and very difficult for the carp to recognise danger. It's similar to blending different flavours but much more subtle and creates a lovely chocolate smell and taste. White baits are excellent in the colder months but the White Chocolate is an excellent all season bait. The White Chocolate Pop-ups are a firm favorite for snow man rigs for Nashbait consultants and can be used with any other bait.

Tutti Frutti
Base mix; 50/50 type.
Flavours; Nashbait Tutti, intense sweetener.
Comments. This is Nashbaits top selling boilie, selling more than any other flavour for the last 5 years. We used to use a different Tuti Fruity flavour which unfortunately was discontinued when the company we bought it from was taken over by a larger company. Now we use the Nash Tutti and sales shot sky high, we think because the new flavour is much more subtle, part of the reason why it catches more fish. Although ready mades are often stronger in smell and taste as long as the flavours are made as fishing flavours and the blends of ingrediants are good this is not just acceptable to the carp but is preferred. We tried lower levels and they simply didn't work so well.

Pineapple
Base mix; 50/50 type.
Flavours; Nashbait Pineapple oil palatant, protaste and intense sweeteners.
Comments; Pineapple oil palatant has always been a very instant flavour and although it is an oil based product it also contains many components that are water soluble (as do all the oil palatants) so there is flavour in all the water layers constantly leaking from each boilie, attracting the fish from the surface to the bottom. Pineapple pop-ups are very popular in the winter but are also excellent as the buoyant part of any snowman rig, regardless of the boilie you are using. This is a true all season bait on any water.

Shellfish Sense Appeal
Base mix; 50/50 type with 2 added fishmeals.
Flavours; Nashbaits Shellfish Sense Appeal and Intense sweetener
Comments; Shellfish Sense Appeal is truly a very famous Classic having caught carp from all types of venue. Shellfish Sense Appeal is very instant, recognized as food even on totally virgin waters, it is also a big fish catcher. We advise anglers to take it aboard on fishing holidays to any venue and many anglers have subsequently carried on using it on their home waters to great effect. The strong almost repulsive smell does put some anglers of but it definitely doesn’t put the carp of, they love it.
